Reflection:
One of the achievements that I am most proud of for the past semester is being able to find multiple evidence points for each idea that I had to support my thesis. The first time I did that, it was on the "Chunky Paragraph" assignment. Looking back on that assignment, my "quote and commentary" chart was unorganized and not thought out well at all. There were more ideas than evidences. Because of that I got a 3-. The grade that I am not aiming for. Knowing that this stratgy is going to be used a lot, and is important I knew I had to work on it. Now I have a better understanding on what to do for "quote and commentary" charts. I know what to look for in evidences that would support my thesis.

One of the major challenges that I had this semester was being able to understand the assignments given to me, and being able to benefit and learn from it. Somtimes I didn't understand what I was doing on some assignments. But with help and the strategy of asking questions, I got where I needed to be. Procrastination was always a problem, but I learned to be a wiser at using my time because I was tired of rushing assignments.

My goals for next quarter is to able to write more smoothly. I really enjoy reading and doing creative writing,  but sometimes I can't explain what I want to say. It's like i'll have ideas that would inspire me to write profusely but i'll get stuck. So hopefully i'll be able to learn what I need to to improve my writing.

Mom or dad, please comment on my blog answering these questions.

  1. What piece of writing did you like best in my portfolio and why?
  2. What did you like about my portfolio and sharing and what would you like to see me improve on?
  3. Which of the writing traits (ideas, organization, voice, word choice) do you feel was most successful for me?
  4. Which of the traits of writing would you like me to improve on in the coming semester?

Pictures of proof :p
